Which cost components may arise?
Typical components may include medical review, blood collection, cell manufacturing, quality control, transport, applications and accompanying diagnostics. Not every service is included in every offer.
Diagnostics and follow-up
Additional laboratory testing, imaging or follow-up checks may be charged separately. Before signing a contract, it should be clearly stated which services are included.
Private health insurance and reimbursement
Reimbursement is not an automatic consequence of a treatment decision. Insurers assess individual cases on the basis of the policy, indication, medical justification and supporting documents.
Clarify everything in writing beforehand
Before treatment begins, the scope of services, payment schedule, possible additional costs, cancellation, transport and responsibilities of the parties involved should be clarified in writing.
Do not make a treatment decision based on price alone
Cost is only one aspect. Medical suitability, evidence, alternatives, treatment goals and the individual benefit-risk assessment are decisive.
