Not every study answers the same question
Early studies often examine safety, feasibility and immune responses. Later controlled studies are more important when drawing conclusions about clinical endpoints such as progression-free or overall survival.
Tumour type and disease stage matter
Results in one tumour type cannot automatically be transferred to another. Previous treatments, biomarkers, disease burden and accompanying therapies may also influence outcomes.
Immunological endpoints are not the same as clinical benefit
A measurable T-cell response or other laboratory changes may be biologically interesting, but they do not by themselves prove clinical treatment benefit.
Study quality and comparison groups
Randomisation, control groups, sample size, follow-up, endpoints and independent analysis substantially determine how reliable a result is.
Our principle: tumour-specific rather than generalised
This platform aims to classify studies by tumour type and clinical question. We deliberately avoid strong promotional claims or transferring individual case reports to all patients.
Check the sources
Original publications, trial registries, professional societies and regulatory information are more important than purely promotional secondary sources.
